From the Greyhound / Trailways / Peter Pan Bus Station

Walk 3 blocks to New York Avenue Metro Station and take the Red Line train toward Shady Grove. Exit at Metro Center and take the 11th Street exit. Walk three blocks North on 11th Street (about 10 minutes) to HI-DC, just North of K Street.

Take the Circulator bus going toward Georgetown. Exit at the intersection of 11th Street, NW and K Street, NW. HI-DC is in ½ block North on K Street.

From the Airport: Metrorail & MetroBus

From Dulles International Airport (IAD): Take Bus 5A toward L’Enfant Plaza and exit at Rosslyn Metro Station. Take the Blue Line train toward Largo and exit at Metro Center Station. Take the 11th Street exit. Walk three blocks North on 11th Street (about 10 minutes) to HI-DC, just North of K Street.

From Ronald Reagan / Washington National Airport (DCA): Take the Metrorail Blue Line train toward Largo and exit at Metro Center Station. Take the 11th Street exit. Walk three blocks North on 11th Street (about 10 minutes) to HI-DC, just North of K Street.

From Baltimore Washington International Airport (BWI): Take Bus B30 toward Greenbelt Metro Station and exit there. Enter the Greenbelt Metro Station and take the Green Line train toward Branch Avenue. Exit at Mount Vernon Square and walk South on 11th Street (about 10 minutes) to HI-DC, just North of K Street.

Parking

HI-DC does not offer parking, but there are several options close to the hostel:

• DC has metered street parking, but it can be restrictive (be sure to read all signs carefully and follow the instructions, as the city is well known for quick ticketing) and difficult to find open spaces.
• Across the street is Colonial Parking: $15 per day for garaged parking, but cars must be out by 7:00 PM; no overnight parking.
• Two blocks South on 11th Street is City Center: $15 per day for open air lot parking if out by 7:00 PM; additional $15 per night for overnight parking.
